Introduction to Restorative Practice for Leaders

Who is this for?
This one day workshop is designed for service managers and team
leaders of organisations that are delivering or considering delivering
restorative justice services. This workshop introduces leaders to the
concept and some of the principles of restorative practice, outlining
some of the aspects and skills learnt from the Centre’s six-day
Restorative Skills course, approved by the Restorative Justice Council.
Objectives
The workshop provides learners with an understanding of:
> The effects of conflict
> How conflict develops
> Formal and informal conflict resolution
> Benefits of either mediation or restorative practice
> The Restorative process
> Restorative skills required of a facilitator
> An outline of the restorative meeting
> Restorative practice applications
